At earthchildren, we’re passionate about protecting the environment year-round. But on Earth Day, we all come together to do something for our planet. We believe in the vision of Earth Day so much that we’ll provide you with a grant to fund your Earth Day project or event.
If you know it’s your responsibility to help take care of the planet but don’t know where to start, we’re here to guide you in the right direction. Here are some small steps you can take to help create a healthier planet.
Eliminating waste is one of the simplest ways to help the environment. There are so many items we use daily that can be repurposed or recycled. Before you toss something in the trash, ask yourself if there’s a way to keep it out of a landfill.
Water is a necessity! But sometimes we leave the water running simply because it’s more convenient. When we conserve water, it reduces the amount of wastewater and runoff that ends up in the ocean.
When you take time to educate yourself on environmental issues, you’re building a better world through your knowledge. Awareness of environmental issues leads to advocacy for the planet, which leads to a better future for us all.
Whether it’s a small clean-up project in your local community or a nationwide event for a cleaner planet, volunteering is one of the best ways to do your part in keeping the planet safe, clean, and protected.
Change doesn’t always take place in large movements. Sometimes, it’s finding the courage to take one small step forward. Ready to take action in your community? We have the resources you need to get started.
